International Certification Services, Inc offers the following programs and services. Click on Programs/Services to find out more about each.

  • USDA NOP
  • Farm Verified Organic

  • Bio Suisse
  • EEC 2092/91

Why Certification?

Certification offers valuable assurance that an acceptable standard is followed. Organic farming, as well as other organic related entities, could easily become mismanaged and mistrusted if not placed under some well thought rules, guidelines, and regulations that are set by qualified specialists in the field.

Certification assures consumers that organically produced foods and textiles meet a consistent set of standards that were developed and are regulated by the USDA's National Organic Program. As a USDA/NOP Accredited Certifier, ICS verifies that all its clients are compliant with these standards. ICS certifies all categories of operations: Family Farms, Commercial Farms, On-farm processing, Contract Services, Processor/Manufacturers, and Handlers.

Why Organic?

Organic agriculture protects the water supply, enriches the soil, encourages biodiversity & helps reduce the toxic burden on our bodies and our planet.

  • Employs sound cultural production practices
  • Replaces synthetic fertilizers, chemicals and pesticides
  • Enhances the inherent fertility and biological life to build soil
  • Improves water quality
  • Creates a safe environment for people and wildlife.
  • Increases value of organic products through identity preservation.

Certification is required by law in the U.S.A. and many other countries.
