The Farm Verified Organic (FVO) Standard meets the requirements of the USDA National Organic Program as well as additional international requirements for IFOAM and ISO 65 accreditation. FVO is the only IFOAM accredited organic certification offered in the United States.

Accreditation
In 1995, Farm Verified Organic (FVO) became the first certification program in the U.S. to be accredited by the International Organic Accreditation Service (IOAS), the international organic accreditation program established by the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM). IFOAM accreditation requires annual evaluation to a stringent set of standards for certification agencies and standard setting bodies. IFOAM accreditation gives the FVO name and seal enhanced international recognition, helps ICS  continually improve the program, and provides our clients and their customers with a higher level of security and confidence. The FVO program is also accredited to ISO 65 to satisfy requirements for import into the European Union.
